Probably the most wonderfully colorful things on the Outer Cape in late spring are the brilliant, pink beach roses known officially as "rosa rugosa." But they don't have to be along the beach, as this painting attests. Here they form a lovely archway outside a classic Cape Cod cottage right in the center of Wellfleet village.
